No, we don't remove or reinstall plumbing hardware as part of refinishing. This includes the tub spout (where the water flows into the tub), the shower diverter spout (a tub spout with a pull-up knob that sends water to the showerhead), the overflow plate (the round plate higher on the tub wall), the drain flange (the drain opening at the bottom of the tub), and the valve trim or handle (the control that turns the water on and off). These pieces need to be off before we refinish so the new finish goes on cleanly and lasts, and because they're plumbing connections, removing them is best left to you or your plumber so responsibility for the water lines stays clearly in one place.
