Meet Mike Tiedman
Mike Tiedman started BathMasters 26 years ago with one goal: do refinishing the right way. That means proper surface prep (the part of the job most cut-rate companies skip), industrial-grade coating materials (not hardware-store DIY kits), and honest recommendations to customers about what fits their situation, even when that means recommending a less expensive spot repair instead of a full refinish.
Mike has personally refinished more than 25,000 bathtubs across the Gulf Coast. He's worked on everything from $50,000 historic clawfoot restorations to single-chip touch-ups. He's seen what holds up over 15+ years (the work that was prepped properly) and what fails within months (the work that wasn't). That experience is what every BathMasters customer benefits from.

What we believe about refinishing
Refinishing is honest work or it's a problem. Done properly, refinishing produces results that last 15+ years or longer. Done improperly, with bad prep, cheap materials, and rushed application, refinishing produces results that fail within months. We do it the long-lasting way, every time, regardless of what the customer paid.
Spot repairs deserve honest recommendations. Not every job needs a full refinish. We tell customers honestly when a spot repair fits, even though full refinishes pay better. That honesty has built our repeat and referral business over 26 years.
A 5-year warranty in writing should mean something. Most refinishing companies offer warranties. Most warranties get harder to use when you actually need them. Our 5-year residential warranty is in writing, honored without argument, and backed by 26 years of standing behind our work.
No deposit required is a statement. Many refinishing companies require 30–50% deposits before they'll start work. We don't. We're confident enough in our work that we'll do the job, and you only pay when you're satisfied with the result.
